Frequently asked Questions

Your policy starts on the day your application is submitted. However, there is an initial 30-day period where you cannot make a claim. This is to prevent claims on pre-existing problems and to keep premiums low.

You should be able to cancel and switch to JA Plumbing And Heating. For more information, please call our sales team on 01235 421728 .

If you cancel the policy within 14 days of setting up your plan, we will refund the premium paid for the current policy period with no charges. You are free to leave us at any time, however, cancellation charges may apply. See Cancellation Rights and Charges in the Policy Terms and Conditions.

If you are on one of our standard plans that do not include a £90+VAT callout charge, you will not be charged for a callout. If you are on a plan that includes a fixed £90+VAT callout charge, you will be charged this amount for each callout. This charge is non-refundable, but it will not apply to any repeat visits made within 30 days to fix the same fault identified during the initial callout. There is no callout charge for your annual boiler service.

In the event of an emergency (an uncontrolled water leak), we aim to have someone with you within two hours. For other faults, we will do our best to have someone with you on the same day if you call before 9.00 AM or within 24 hours of your call. In the event of a gas leak please call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.

We will inform you of when your boiler needs servicing to maintain its warranty or yearly check over.

Note: If your boiler has not been installed or serviced by JA Plumbing & Heating in the last six months, a service will need to be completed, and the cost will be additional to your chosen cover plan.
